The Blue Nile
This was the 'Ethiopia’s endemics' trip with Naturetrek. We visited the Simien Mountains, the Awash National Park, Lake Awassa in the Great Rift Valley, the Bale Mountains and the shores of Lake Langano amongst other places. We also stayed on for a few nights in Addis on our own. The tour was good and the leader, an Eritrean, Merid, was excellent. Unfortunately this opinion was not shared by other members of the party that put something of a sour note on the trip. We nevertheless enjoyed it.
I have split the photos into two groups. The birds page is just a small selection of the species seen, and the people and places is a fairly random selection of photos that I hope gives a feel for the trip.
